【摘要】:Thisguideisrelevanttothedesignofspecializedsupportequipmentandtoolsthatareremotelyoperated,maintained,orviewedthroughshieldingwindows,orcombinationsthereof,orbyotherremoteviewingsystems.Hotcellscontainsubstancesandprocessesthatmaybeextremelyhazardoustopersonnelortheexternalenvironment,orboth.Processsafetyandreliabilityareimprovedwithsuccessfuldesign,installation,andoperationofspecializedmechanicalandsupportequipment.Useofthisguideinthedesignofspecializedmechanicalandsupportequipmentcanreducecosts,improveproductivity,reducefailedhardwarereplacementtime,andprovideastandardizeddesignapproach.1.1Intent:1.1.1Thisguidepresentspracticesandguidelinesforthedesignandimplementationofequipmentandtoolstoassistassembly,disassembly,alignment,fastening,maintenance,orgeneralhandlingofequipmentinahotcell.Operatinginaremotehotcellenvironmentsignificantlyincreasesthedifficultyandtimerequiredtoperformataskcomparedtocompletingasimilartaskdirectlybyhand.Successfulspecializedsupportequipmentandtoolsminimizetherequiredeffort,reducerisks,andincreaseoperatingefficiencies.1.2Applicability:1.2.1Thisguidemayapplytothedesignofspecializedsupportequipmentandtoolsanywhereitisremotelyoperated,maintained,andviewedthroughshieldingwindowsorbyotherremoteviewingsystems.1.2.2Considerationshouldbegiventotheneedforspecializedsupportequipmentandtoolsearlyinthedesignprocess.1.2.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Caveats:1.3.1Thisguideisgenericinnatureandaddressesawiderangeofremoteworkingconfigurations.Otheracceptableandproveninternationalconfigurationsexistandprovideoptionsforengineeranddesignerconsideration.Specificdesignsarenotasubstituteforappliedengineeringskills,provenpractices,orexperiencegainedinanyspecificsituation.1.3.2Thisguidedoesnotsupersedefederalorstateregulations,orboth,orcodesapplicabletoequipmentunderanyconditions.1.3.3Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
