【摘要】:Thegageisintendedtoprovideameansformeasuringtotalimageunsharpnessasindependentlyaspracticablefromtheimagingsystemcontrastsensitivitylimitations.FurtherdescriptionanddetailsofthegageareprovidedinEN-462-5.Thegagecanbeusedinconjunctionwithacontrastsensitivitymeasuringgage,asdescribedinPracticeE1647.1.1Thispracticecoversthedesignandbasicuseofagageusedtodeterminethetotalimageunsharpnessofradiographsandradioscopicsystems.1.2ThispracticeisapplicabletoradiographicandradioscopicimagingsystemsutilizingX-rayandgammarayradiationsources.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thegagedescribedcanbeusedeffectivelywithradiationenergiesupto400kv.Whenusingenergiesinthemegavoltrangetheresultsmaynotbecompletelysatisfactory.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesanindicationofthermaloxidativestabilityofdistillatefuelswhenheatedtohightemperaturesthatsimulatethosethatmayoccurinsometypesofrecirculatingengineorburnerfueldeliverysystems.Resultshavenotbeensubstantiallycorrelatedtoengineorburneroperation.Thetestmethodcanbeusefulforinvestigationofoperationalproblemsrelatedtofuelthermalstability.Whenthetestmethodisusedtomonitormanufactureorstorageoffuels,changesinfilterratingvaluescanindicatearelativechangeininherentstability.Storagestabilitypredictionsaremorereliablewhencorrelatedtolonger-termstoragetests,forexample,TestMethodD4625,orotherlowertemperature,long-termtests.Whenfuelsamplesarefreshlyproduced,agingfor180min,insteadofthetraditional90-mininterval,tendstogivearesultcorrelatingmoresatisfactorilywiththeabovemethods(seeAppendixX2).Thetestmethodusesafilterpaperwithanominalporosityof11x03BC;m,whichwillnotcaptureallofthesedimentformedduringagingbutallowsdifferentiationoverabroadrange.Reflectanceratingsarealsoaffectedbythecoloroffilterableinsolubles,whichmaynotcorrelatetothemassofthematerialfilteredfromtheagedfuelsample.Therefore,noquantitativerelationshipexistsbetweenthepadratingandthegravimetricmassoffilterableinsolubles.1.1Thistestmethodcoversrelativestabilityofmiddledistillatefuelsunderhightemperatureagingconditionswithlimitedairexposure.ThistestmethodissuitableforallNo.1andNo.2gradesinSpecificationsD396,D975,D2880,andD3699.Itisalsosuitableforsimilarfuelsmeetingotherspecifications.1.2Thistestmethodisnotsuitableforfuelswhoseflashpoint,asdeterminedbyTestMethodsD56,D93,orD3828,islessthan38x00B0;C.Thistestmethodisnotsuitableforfuelscontainingresidualoil.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3.1Exception8212;Themaximumvacuumincludesinch-poundunitsin6.5and11.2.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
