【摘要】:Theemissionofmercuryduringcrudeoilrefiningisanenvironmentalconcern.Theemissionofmercurymayalsocontaminaterefinedproductsandformamalgamswithmetals,suchasaluminum.Whenrepresentativetestportionsareanalyzedaccordingtothisprocedure,thetotalmercuryisrepresentativeofconcentrationsinthesample.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedurestodeterminethetotalmercurycontentinasampleofcrudeoil.1.2Thetestmethodmaybeappliedtocrudeoilsamplescontainingbetween5to400ng/mLofmercury.Theresultsmaybeconvertedtomassbasis,andreportedasng/gofmercury.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4WARNINGMercuryhasbeendesignatedbymanyregulatoryagenciesasahazardousmaterialthatcancausecentralnervoussystem,kidneyandliverdamage.Mercury,oritsvapor,maybehazardoustohealthandcorrosivetomaterials.Cautionshouldbetakenwhenhandlingmercuryandmercurycontainingproducts.SeetheapplicableproductMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)fordetailsandEPAx2019;swebsitehttp://www.epa.gov/mercury/faq.htmforadditionalinformation.Usersshouldbeawarethatsellingmercuryand/ormercurycontainingproductsintoyourstateorcountrymaybeprohibitedbylaw.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
